GOSPEL, COUNTRY, JAZZ AND MORE AT THE DIXIE CLASSIC FAIR CLOCK TOWER
Winston-Salem, N.C. (October 1, 2019) — The Thomas W. Fredericks Chevy Clock Tower stage will feature daily entertainment during the Dixie Classic Fair from Friday, October 4 through Sunday, October 13. Come tap your toes to jazz, sing some gospel music, clap to country and more. Performances at the Clock Tower are free with admission to the Fair and include:
Friday October 4th – Jim Cole – 3:00P, 5:00P, 7:00P, 9:00P
Twenty-five years after he began, Jim Cole continues to write and record music as he shares the joys and sorrows, inspiration and wisdom, which only comes through the grace of God.
October 5th – Camel City Jazz Showcase – 11:30A-10P
Camel City Jazz Orchestra was founded in January 2012 to perform and cultivate jazz music in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina and to serve as the community’s own professional big band.
October 6th – Gospel Fest (sponsored by The Chronicle) – 3:00-6:00P

October 6th – Crossing Avery – 7:00P
Crossing Avery was founded in 2014 by Jeremy Autry (songwriter, lead male vocals, rhythm guitar). Crossing Avery is currently touring up and down the East Coast. They have shared the stage with national recording artists such as John Michael Montgomery, Jamie Lynn Spears, Sugarland, Brothers Osborne and more.
October 7th – J.O.T (aka Grande Gato) – 3:00P, 5:00P, 7:00P, 9:00P
Winston-Salem’s J.O.T. (aka Grande Gato), CEO of Soul-Full Productions, will perform his popular hip-hop/rap/R&B renditions.
October 8th – Special Activities for Seniors from 12:00-7:00P
October 9th – Carolina Soul Band – 3:00P, 5:00P, 7:00P, 9:00P
Carolina Soul Band will take you on a journey down memory lane, performing Beach, Motown, R&B, and Classic Soul.
October 10th – Higher Ground with Randy Johnson – 3:00P, 5:00P, 7:00P, 9:00P
Higher Ground is the most celebrated jazz dance band on the east coast. This dynamic and high energy group has dazzled audiences around the country for the last fifteen years. The group has performed for Dr. Maya Angelou at Oprah Winfrey’s birthday party.
October 11th –
The Chuck Dale Smith Band – 3:00P, 5:00P
The Chuck Dale Smith Band plays music from the ‘50s through the ‘80s.
Hispanic League Heritage Night – 7:00P
Hispanic Heritage Night sponsored by the Hispanic League and La Ley 101.1 FM
Los Acoustic Guys – 8:30P
